Constance Coleman, founder of Coleman Law Group, is a dynamic, dedicated, and compassion-ate legal professional. Her practice is focused on family law, bankruptcy, business law, and real estate matters.
Ms. Coleman earned her B.A. from the University of California and a Juris Doctorate degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she served as Law School Ambassador and Senator for the Black Law Student Association.
Ms. Coleman gained court room experience interning with the Genesee County Prosecutor and the Washtenaw County Public Defender offices in Michigan before moving to St. Petersburg and opening the Coleman Law Group. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the St. Petersburg Bar Association, and the Barney Masterson American Inn of Court.
Ms. Coleman takes special pride in her commitment to her community and in making a difference in people’s lives. She serves as Chair of the Board for grades K-5 Mt. Zion Christian Academy School Board and is an active member of Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. She has volunteered time and skill to Gulf Coast Legal Services and Habitat for Humanity, among others. She also has taught at Central Florida College and her speaking engagements include being key guest speaker for the Florida Association of Women’s Lawyers.
While volunteering for Gulf Coast Legal Services, Ms. Coleman worked extensively with the elderly and other underserved groups who need but cannot afford legal representation. She has handled a variety of cases, including counseling victims of elder abuse, defending homeowners threatened with foreclosure, and dealing with Home Owners Association issues. She frequently serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad litem to represent the best interests of a child in numerous unfortunate situations where the child is deemed incapable of representing him or herself. She is also an Attorney ad litem and assists children who are navigating through the court system and need their voices heard.
In her dedication to the welfare of children, Ms. Coleman was recognized as Guardian ad litem Star of the Month for April 2014 and is a 2015 Lapel Pin Recipient. Ms. Coleman feels very strongly about the plight of foster children who must make it on their own once they are no longer minors and has established a non-profit organization called Third Degree Journey, which focuses on the needs of these young people. In addition to handling all types of family law cases, including divorce and child custody issues, Ms. Coleman is an experienced bankruptcy attorney who is dedicated to providing clients with sympathetic, effective, and affordable representation throughout the bankruptcy process. Ms. Coleman also is uniquely qualified through broad experience to assist clients in all types of real estate matters. Karla Fajardo was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. A daughter of immigrants, Mrs. Fajardo pursued her Bachelors of Arts from Grand Valley State University, Michigan; where she majored in Psychology. After receiving highest ranking recognition from the Federal Bar Association of Western Michigan Mrs. Fajardo was offered a full scholarship to the University of Toledo-College of Law; where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2011. Mrs. Fajardo also volunteered at ABLE (Advocates for Basic Legal Equality); a law firm specializing in immigration law, employment and civil rights.
Eventually, Mrs. Fajardo relocated to Tampa where she was admitted to the Florida Bar. A proud member of the Hispanic community, Mrs. Fajardo is fluent in Spanish and has been published as co-author in the Florida International Law Journal. Mrs. Fajardo currently practices in the areas Family Law, Personal Injury and Real Estate. She also holds a degree in Classical Music Performance.

Maurine A. Thomas was born in New York and raised in New Jersey and Texas before moving to the Tampa Bay area. A graduate of the University of Florida, Ms. Thomas went on to attend Stetson Law School in Gulfport, Florida where she focused on Family Law and had the opportunity to serve as an Ambassador.
Her legal experience includes work with Legal Aid, Guardian ad Litem and private practice—she works exclusively in Family Law, is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the American Bar Association and belongs to the Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. Passionate about helping parents, families and individuals overcome difficult times in life, Ms. Thomas works aggressively to achieve the best possible outcome for each and every client, always keeping the clients' wishes in mind. When Ms. Thomas isn't helping other families, she enjoys spending time with her own family and staying involved in the local community through volunteer work with her church, Girl Scouts and as an Attorney ad Litem.
